We design and build bespoke fitted wardrobes for clients in Surrey, West Sussex and South London.
Each fitted wardrobe is made specifically to your requirements and can be tailored to bedrooms of all shapes and sizes.

Every home has different proportions and a unique character, and so our fitted wardrobes are tailored to suit your space. Perhaps you are looking to make use of storage space under the eaves or sloping ceilings in a loft conversion. Or maybe you are looking for fitted alcove wardrobes either side of a chimney breast. Perhaps you are looking for a bespoke corner wardrobe.
You may even be considering a luxury walk-in wardrobe. If so, our ability to work with a range of premium materials and our high-quality craftsmanship will be perfectly suited. We can create something just right for you.
When designing fitted wardrobes, we work closely with our clients to determine their optimal storage solution. This can include custom-made drawers and pull-out shoe storage.
Our bespoke doors can be adapted to open in the best way given the layout of your bedroom. We can provide standard doors, or where space is tight - bi-fold doors or sliding options.
MATERIALS AND FITTINGS
Our fitted bedroom furniture uses the highest quality FSC certified timber materials possible within each design. We often use premium Baltic birch ply for a highly durable build that will stand the test of time. This can be painted for an exceptional finish, or can be used with veneers or laminates for a modern look.
We also have access to a huge range of solid hardwoods. We often use these to provide those all important details and finishing touches. Where clients prefer a more economical build, we are of course able to rely on high quality MDF.
We are able to offer a variety of finishes, including hand-painted or spray-painted finishes. We also work with designer laminates, solid hardwoods and natural wood veneers.
Our bespoke fitted wardrobes include soft-close hinges and drawer runners as standard. Soft-close features mean that all drawers and doors close gently and effortlessly. This makes your furniture a real pleasure to use every day. It also ensures that it continues to look its best for years to come.
INITIAL CONSULTATION
We are a small business offering a highly personal service. With Xyloforms you will always discuss your project directly with a cabinet maker, not a salesperson. We take pride in the customer service this provides. It also allows for a fully collaborative approach to your project, with clear communication of ideas.
Wherever you are based in Surrey or West Sussex, we are happy to work in whatever way suits you best. You may prefer to provide us with details of your project by phone or email. We can then offer options and cost estimates in advance of a site visit.
A site visit provides a further opportunity for us to survey the site itself and take measurements. It also allows us to discuss your requirements in more detail. Ideas can be explored in collaboration with you to obtain the best possible result.
Once we have a full understanding of your design brief, we can provide a written specification and quote.
DESIGNING AND BUILDING YOUR FITTED WARDROBE
Once we are formally engaged by you, we are able to provide detailed design drawings. We work with you to tailor these. The high-quality computer-generated images we provide help you to visualise your bespoke bedroom furniture prior to manufacture.
When you are settled on a final design, we then craft your fitted wardrobe. Most of the work takes place at our workshop on the border of Surrey and Sussex. This shortens the time required on-site for fitting and minimises any disruption to you.
Fitting dates are agreed with you well in advance. We strive to be flexible in working around any constraints you may have.

Many of our clients have period Victorian or Edwardian properties with fireplaces and chimney breasts. As such we are often asked to design alcove wardrobes or alcove shelves. We can create beautiful designs for a seamless fit alongside existing skirting boards or picture rails.

Wardrobes for loft conversions
Many clients have created additional space through a loft conversion and are looking for fitted wardrobes under sloping ceilings. Often the additional space creates an opportunity for a modern walk-in wardrobe. Additional storage space can often be designed to fit under eaves, or through bespoke corner wardrobes. Our designs are tailored to make the most use of your bedroom space.

Every fitted wardrobe we design is bespoke and uniquely tailored to you. There is an almost limitless choice of design features, materials, finishes, and interior options such as drawer and shelf configurations. As such, the best way to find out how much your chosen project might cost would be to contact us.
We are more than happy to provide a basic estimate based on the initial information you can provide. This can provided either by phone or email. This allows us to provide you with an initial idea of cost, before deciding whether a site visit would be helpful. Naturally, a detailed specification and quote would always require a site visit.
For fitted furniture our minimum project cost for design, materials, making and installation tends to be around £2,000 + VAT.
