Bespoke Side Table — BUTTERFLY

This pair of bespoke side tables is inspired by the gentle symmetry of butterfly wings. Each side table features legs crafted from contrasting woods (black walnut and cherry) to give the effect of unfurled wings. The small contrasting dowel motif at the central joint is a simple reference to wing patterning. The table-top is made from hard maple.

As far as possible, this piece has been designed to represent a truly organic form. Wherever possible, straight lines and edges are minimised in favour of more natural curves.

The hand-made side table is elegant yet contemporary, and would suit a variety of living room styles. When placed next to an armchair or sofa, this side table provides a stylish way to keep things close at hand. Alternatively, a table such as this could be placed almost anywhere in a living-room to showcase ornaments or indoor plants.
